FROM THE PASTOR'S DESK August 2008
I have been studying on Psalm 27. I encourage you to get into
this chapter and allow it to minister directly to your heart. I would
just like to share a few things I am receiving from it right now!
The Lord is my light and my salvation. I have a close, personal relationship with Him. He protects me from danger. I do not have to fear anyone or anything, because He is on my side! My confidence is in Him, every day of my life. What we must understand is that just before our seed springs forth, just before our miracle happens, just before our promise is fulfilled....that's when all hell will seem to break out against us. It is so crucial at those times, what we say and how we react. It is at those specific times that satan is trying to steal our blessing. He is attempteing to get us to quit! Understand this friends, the devil wants to break you before you experience the fullness of God's power working in you. Yes, just as a woman who is about to give birth, we must realize that there is a miracle growing inside of us and the devil does NOT want us to bring it forth! We need to be like the Psalmist and call on the Lord. He said in verse 4, that he was asking God for one thing...that he could dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of his life, to behold the beauty of the Lord and to inquire in His temple...Let us understand that he is NOT talking about when we get to heaven, he is talking about dwelling in the house of the Lord right now, every day of our lives, here on this earth! Then he says that God will hide him in His pavilion, in the secret place of His tabernacle. As we live in God and allow God to live through us in our daily lives, we are protected and sheltered. Oh yes, life will still bring difficulties and trials and even temptations, but we will be protected and sheltered in the secret place! He will keep us out of the enemy's reach. He will place us upon a Rock, just out of his reach, and we can remain calm and collected, knowing that God is watching over us. This is the only quiet, secure place in the noisy world we are living in. It is the perfect get away. And this will cause us to rejoice and give Him all praise! I believe God is saying to us today..."Seek My face. Invite My Presence into your every day life." Now it is up to each one of us individually, to seek Him, to desire Him above everything else. God is always with us. He is waiting on us to call on Him, to believe Him and expect to see His goodness in our daily lives. Our job is to Stay with God! Take heart! Don't quit, no matter what! Don't be impatient. Be brave and courageous. Wait on the Lord and know in your heart that He is on your side and He will work ALL things out for your good, because He loves you that much. It doesn't matter how many people may have rejected you through your life, God will NEVER reject you! He has a plan for you and it is a GOOD plan! So, just keep standing on His Word and dare to bring forth that miracle He has placed within you! In His Love,
